Who is Mehmet SADRAZAM?
Mehmet Sadrazam has been working domestic and international companies that are active in lock, door handle, furniture accessories manufacturing, and paper – paper packaging sectors for more than 20 years in different positions including department manager, chief of production, production manager, factory manager, factory general manager, operations manager (who is responsible for factories and operations) and Executive Committee Member (Board Member).
He was first acquainted with lean management methods when he was working at lock and door accessories factory, the first company he worked for, due to a necessity caused by the fact that quantities produced were falling short of quantities of sales in the departments for which he was responsible.
As a result of his lean manufacturing efforts at metal hot injection, metal plating and paint shop departments, he achieved 30% improvement in overall production quantities of the factory within one year.
He closely followed the lean manufacturing transformation efforts conducted by Turkish and Japanese engineers at Brisa, Turkey. He finalized quality circle guidance training, and then guided many quality circles and provided trainings.
He then received training on Toyota Productive Management (TPM), Lean Management and Operational Excellence and Six Sigma in Austria and England, and transformed his knowledge and experience into practice for the companies for which he worked. He conducted factory visits in many Eastern and Western European countries including Germany, Austria, England, Holland, Italy, France, Belgium, Czech Republic and Poland. He got the opportunity to experience good examples of lean management at those factories. He exchanged information and worked in joint projects with his colleagues in those countries. Apart from these activities, he visited factories and manufacturing plants of many multi-national companies located in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia.
Mehmet Sadrazam has worked as project leader in the projects of establishment of the management system such as ISO 9001- ISO 22000- OHSAS 18001, etc. throughout his career. Moreover, he functioned as investment project manager in establishment, set-up and commissioning of three (one domestic and two international company) paper package factories. He achieved tens of Six Sigma projects and hundreds of PII, 5S, SMED, Fast Truck and Kaizen projects in those companies within which he worked in different positions. In addition, provided mentorship and training for tens of managers within the scope of Lean Management, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement projects.
He made efforts on the impacts of the improvement in SHE Safety- Health & Environment applications on productivity growth. He suggested the positive impact of improvements in Occupational and Safety applications on production and productivity. At these companies, he also concluded successful projects and works on implementation of lean management methods, production, planning, total productive maintenance, quality assurance systems, supply chain management, sourcing management, sales and marketing, investment project planning, investment-project management, corporate financial management (Lean Management Financial Model) and risk management as well as strategy formulation.
Thanks to Lean Management Systems that he applied at the international companies for which he worked for 11 years, two different factories won Operational Excellence Awards in 2007 and 2010 as they had the highest Overall Equipment Effectiveness among 39 factories from various countries across the globe.
